‘Creative Minds’ at Exeter Phoenix

Bloom Festival Update

We are delighted to say that this year's Exeter Phoenix Bloom Festival was a great success. With over 650 people signing up for festival wristbands, we were delighted to see over 550 attending on the day. There was some lovely feedback from attendees - including some who had attended in previous years and discovered new practices to boost wellbeing that they had sustained and were returning to the festival to share with the community. Feedback also highlighted how understanding, appreciative, beautiful sympathetic and encouraging they found the sessions, experiences and people they met.

Bloom Festival information

We are pleased to announce the launch of Creative Minds, an art and poetry exhibition we’ve launched in collaboration with the Eastern Rehabilitation Community Team at this year's Exeter Phoenix Bloom Festival.

All the work displayed has been created by service users, their family members, carers and supporting staff members. The project aims to give artists a unique opportunity to share their magnificent talents with the Exeter community.

An artist who contributed to the exhibition commented: “Being part of this exhibition has been such a massive confidence boost for me and I am so pleased to be involved.”

James Raemers, who works across the two teams and put the exhibition together, added: “I'm aware of the immense effort everyone put into making this possible and the reception of the exhibition has been overwhelmingly positive. I hope that this recognises that art can be very beneficial towards meaningful and positive engagement, as well as confidence building.”

The exhibition is free to visit and open daily until Sunday 19 May. Service users will also be providing some music performances as part of the festival on Sunday 12 May from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.

More information about Bloom Festival 2024 can be found on the Exeter Phoenix website.
